 What kind of impact… what difference is your life making in the lives of others?

  The answer is one of three things… negative, nominal, or positive.  One, we bring people down, and we detract value from their lives,  Two, we don’t add any value at all to someone’s life.  Or three, we bring people up, encourage them, we add value to someone’s life.  I don’t always get it right, but I want to be number 3.  I want my life to make a positive difference in the lives of others. 

   Well, in a very real way, that was the mission of Jesus. And it was the mission he gave to the early church as He launched it into motion.  And it continues on … in and through us today.  We are called to lift people up, encourage them, add to their lives… not detract from their lives. Giving people Jesus is where it all starts.

  Now, deep down inside, we know how broken and messed up this world is.  We see the hurts and injustices people face, from large to small issues. And most of us want to make a positive difference in people’s lives, but we often face a lot of headwinds, opposition, even peer pressure.  Sometimes, society and culture work against you.  A broken, fallen world with questionable morals certainly works against you.  At times it just seems too big.  But you can make a difference to one… just start there.
