Have you ever been stumped before… puzzled about a solution… but then all of the sudden you have this epiphany… this “a-ha” moment that makes everything clear? 

  For some of you, cross-word puzzles come to mind.  For others, a “who-dunnit” book or movie.  For some, it may be a relational issue, the resolution of a conflict.  For me when I was a college student, it was figuring out a math problem.  The “a-ha” moment relieves the struggle, and makes sense of the untangled knots.

  But the most significant area where this occurs… is in the area of purpose, direction, or the even bigger question – “what is the meaning of life?”  And the “a-ha” moment there is huge. 

  An emissary from Ethiopia found that out in the first century.  He had come to Jerusalem to celebrate one of the festivals… feeling an attachment to Israel’s God, but with so many unanswered questions.  As he read the prophet Isaiah it proved to be more puzzling than fulfilling… until a man named Philip arrived and explained it to him.  Philip explained that Jesus was the fulfillment of it, the foundation of our lives, the person to give our lives to… and the Ethiopian had that “a-ha” moment.  Everything began to make sense, and it changed his life forever.  Have you had your “a-ha” moment?
